Vision

The National Vaccination Insights project was established to deliver routine, systematic data and insights on vaccination barriers and drivers to inform strategies to improve vaccination uptake in different populations across Australia.

Collaboration

The project is a collaboration between the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS) and the University of Sydney (USYD) Social and Behavioural Insights in Immunisation (SABII) research group – and has been made possible by funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care and the National Health and Medical Research Council.

Advice

The project research and strategies are guided by a Stakeholder Advisory Group comprising members with expertise from different areas – including immunisation policy; peak health professional and leadership bodies; peak health advocacy groups and community organisations; consumer advisory groups; and the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO), the national leadership body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health in Australia.
