For every generation, vaccines work – celebrating World Immunization Week 2026

This World Immunization Week, NCIRS joins the global community in recognising that vaccines have protected people, families and communities for generations – and continue to safeguard our future.

This year, the World Health Organization has chosen the theme, For every generation, vaccines work, to highlight how ordinary people’s decision to protect themselves, their children and communities from disease has protected people at every stage of life – saving an estimated 150 million lives since 1974.

To celebrate World Immunization Week, NCIRS will be sharing a range of stories on our LinkedIn page from our Global Health team and partners working to close immunisation gaps, support catch up efforts and strengthen immunisation programs across our region, as we continue working to ensure ‘for every generation, vaccines work’.
