What are specialist immunisation services

Specialist immunisation services provide immunisation advice and care to clinicians and families. These services have specialised nursing and medical staff who can provide clinical advice on immunisation for patients with complex or unusual medical backgrounds or who have had an adverse event following immunisation.

How do specialist immunisation services work

If your child has a complex medical condition, allergies or you are worried about vaccines, your doctor can refer you to one of the specialist immunisation services to talk with a highly trained doctor or nurse.

Refer to our Specialist Immunisation Services web page to find out more about a service in your state or territory.
